5 CANNABIS HABITS YOU SHOULD BE PRACTICING IN 2022

5 CANNABIS HABITS YOU SHOULD BE PRACTICING IN 2022

When I first started to incorporate cannabis in my life I smoked it because it was all I knew. As my passion for this powerful plant continued to grow, I branched out to other methods of consumption. Nowadays, I'll smoke cannabis maybe once a month.

If you have been interested in incorporating cannabis in your life but you're not a smoker, here are 5 ways you can reap the benefits without the smoke.

1. MICRODOSING

Odd name, easy process. Microdosing means you just take a few hits of your favorite strain and go about your day. Sure, it’s fun to get crazy lifted, but consuming cannabis in very small amounts allows you to get those benefits and effects without being too gone to function. It’s perfect for making annoying tasks less terrible.

One of the best times to microdose is before the gym. For most of us, the thought of going to the gym is crippling. The gym is no easy task but with a few hits of a strong sativa, you’ll go in on the treadmill and not even notice time flying by.

2. USING CBD SALVES/OILS

CBD topicals are, in my opinion, one of the most underrated approaches to pain relief. There are countless body care brands on the market that use CBD to target pain and discomfort that are often overlooked. I used to be a nonbeliever and now I cannot leave the house without one in my bag. If you’re like me and avoid pain killers at all costs, try a CBD topical next time you are aching before you head to your medicine cabinet. When I have debilitating cramps, I like to use the Moon Oil to get instant relief.

CBD salves are widely utilized as a way to manage pain without taking pills with harmful chemicals. You can find CBD topicals at most health food stores and in my shop! Just rub the salve on your joints and/or aching muscles and feel the instant relief.

3. COOKING WITH CANNABIS

If you’re not a smoker, or you’re trying to cut back, cook with cannabis! Even if you’re a terrible chef, your friends will surely like this one (just make sure you tell them!). This is a great way to get creative in the kitchen.

First, you’ll have to make cannabis-infused butter or oil and then use it in place of regular oil or butter in any recipe. The possibilities are endless. Cookies, brownies, stir fry, soups, salad dressing, I could really go on and on but I know you get it.

***Warning: The high from edibles is more intense and long-lasting.***

4. VAPING DRY HERB

When you see “vape” you may already be picturing e-juices, and other gas station finds but we’re talking about dry herb.

The rundown: Dry herb vaporizers are like mini ovens that heat your flower to a specific amount but will never actually get to the point of combustion resulting in vapor and not smoke.

Why do it: When you get your flower to the point of combustion, like smoking a joint, pipe, or bong, you are burning a lot more than what is needed to get you medicated. If you heat your flower right to the point of activating the THC (the active ingredient that gives you the “high”), you will get the high sans the extra stuff. Better for your lungs and makes your bud last. Win, win!

If you’ve already been toying with the idea of purchasing a dry herb vape, I highly recommend the Pax 3. The Pax 3 is a little pricier than the rest but it does not disappoint. I've been using mine for more than 5 years and I've never had a complaint. Definitely worth the splurge!

Bonus: USE IT IN THE BEDROOM!

I am very into using cannabis in the bedroom. There are multiple ways you can go about this and lucky for you I have a whole blog post on it. Read "3 Easy Ways to Bring Cannabis and Intimacy Together" after this post!

I hope you found a method or two that you'll incorporate into your lifestyle this year.
